A photograph of a nude model reclining in a rural Australian butcher's cabinet is dividing opinion online.
The picture shows a woman lying on her side in a butcher's cabinet in the Western Australian town of Lancelin. She has artificial turf covering her chest and hips, and cuts of meat like breast, flank and leg drawn on her body with marking pen.
Photographer Kym Illman posted the image to the Lancelin Facebook page on Thursday, telling the North Coast Times that local butcher Darren Gerrand had the idea to put a model in the display cabinet.
"I had brought a fine-art nude model from Sydney for four days and when I mentioned it to her she thought it was a great idea," Illman said.
"The meat was the owner's own stock and it was shot after hours with the cabinet cleaned afterwards."
The picture was posted online as a social experiment - and it certainly drew reactions across the spectrum.
One commenter wrote: "You certainly come across some strange things in a small country town like Lancelin, but the sight of this young women (presumably living) in the meat counter at the local butchers certainly raised some eyebrows last month [sic]."
