Zafi B and Maleek Berry team up for a strictly afrobeats vibe tune which will have you wishing for some better weather, as they provide all the summer vibes.
Zafi B comes back with another tune on LinkUp following the release of her last summer jam last year, with My Love featuring Moelogo, which although not getting too many views does provide a whole lot of vibes (only getting just over 9,000 views, it should definitely be checked out). Zafi has certainly been putting in work though releasing good songs consistently over the past couple years, dropping ‘Shake Ur Sisi’ with Mr 2 Kay and ‘Give it to Me, 2 years ago, and ‘ Number 1′ the year before. Each of these songs being vibe laden tracks, unfortunately not getting the recognition they deserve.
Maleek Berry is also no stranger to producing quality music, having released the hit ‘Eko Miami’ with Geko back in January, which has over 2,600,000 views. Having also released ‘On Fire’ 3 days ago which already has close to 120,000 views, Maleek Berry is showing no signs of showing down in 2017. With a big feature on YCee’s track ‘Juice’ 2 months ago, with just over 3,000,000 views it is another big single for Maleek. However, Maleek has not only been on fire in 2017, having dropped the insanely popular ‘Kontrol’ last year, which has close to 28,000,000 views, Maleek is certainly on a path of destruction.
As for this track, both Maleek and Zafi are suffering separation anxiety, as to quote Zafi “it’s been long, I ain’t seen ya” and both look to reunite with their BAEs. The occasional lyrics dropped by Maleek add a lot to the track dropping “wonder, it be like Stevie Wonder” and “now you my only”, these may not sound like a lot on paper, but they do truly add another element to very good song. The true standout star in this song, however, has to be Zafi B, who has really held her own against such a talent as Maleek Berry.
The video itself, contrasts a lot with the actual song, as the song is full of summer vibes, which a damp roof, as featured in the video, does not really supply. With some elements being shot in what looks like a bar, this tune definitely will have you moving, in a similar manner to those in the video.
This is definitely a very good song, and shows a less well known name, truly holding their own with an emerging superstar.
